JFK and Civil Rights!

All the Kennedy disinformation is very frustrating, but the lie about JFK being slow on Civil Rights is at the top of my frustration list! Slow compared to what, exactly ? The 100 years before him, when the equivalent of Nothing got done! Let us look at some of JFK's key Civil Rights accomplishments.

He started the affirmative action program for Federal Government employees.

In Prince Edward County, VA, JFK and RFK built an entire school district for young black kids so they have a place to go to school

JFK & RFK worked closely with the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals to ensure voting rights, integrate colleges, and enforce the Brown VS Board decision.

RFK, at JFK's request, took on school desegregation within weeks of taking office.

JFK extended fair housing practices to Government Contract companies and gave grants to those hiring minorities.

They financed voter registration drives in the South.

JFK announced that no member of his administration would join segregated establishments or speak at segregated events.

JFK signed the Fair Housing Act of 1962

JFK established a lawyers' committee for civil rights in 1963 to represent victims of Civil RIghts abusers in the South.

These are just some of the highlights, but it is fair to say that the Kennedy brothers advanced Civil Rights more in 3 years than the prior 18 administrations did in a Century! JFK knew that the Conservative Democrats in the south would join the republicans and block Civil Rights legislation, so he worked around that through the Court System and executive orders.

The day that JFK was inaugurated, he looked around and saw no black people in the Secret Service of the Coast Guard Parade. He immediately called Secretary Dillion in and asked him to immediately find out why. Academia, the Main-Stream Media, and Hollywood have been an EPIC FAIL on the Kennedys'.
